Onwards and Upwards
25 July 2016My dear friend, the JoziFoodWhore, once again allowed me along on one of her foodie escapades, this time at Foundry Cafe in Parktown North, Johannesburg. The new range of Moulés Pot meals, paired with wines from the Clos Malverne Wine Estate, was a delight on the palate. Definitely a buy 😛
- Let the wine flow. Clos Malverne starts off the evening teaching us about the wine.
- Absolutely divine start! Mussels cooked in white wine, celery and herbs, paired with a sauvignon blanc.
- Wow, a bit of chilli in this tomato Sofrito mussels. Still most yummy.
- With all the constant refills and extra glasses, I’m starting to think Clos Malverne is trying to get me drunk.
- Dry cider and smoke haddock mussels. Mmmm. I am in heaven.
- Low light selfie at the mussels and wine pairing
- Thai green coconut curry and crumbed calamari! Dear lord, Foundry Cafe. NOW, I am really in heaven! Mew!
- And we’ve hit the Jack Daniel’s bourbon cream mussels, paired with a Cabinet Merlot
- Good lord, this Clos Malverne Merlot has brought me home
- Here forth the molecular cocktail LaBowski vodka balsamic reduction with a poppers on top
- The dessert wine blend is a secret in the industry. Mmmmm. Delish nonetheless.
