Your email address and, optionally, your name is received and stored through opt-ins to download free content. This information is used purely for purposes of providing ongoing valuable services to you.

When purchasing products, additional contact information (including contact numbers and billing address) is required for identification and billing. I may also ask your birth date to verify age, and your gender pronoun so I know how to address you.

The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

I also use the Akismet anti-spam service which will also collect information about visitors who comment in order to curb spam. Typically, this includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Other visitors who come across your uploaded image (eg. a profile image) can it and extract any location data still embedded.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites (eg. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) behaves in the exact same way as if you are visiting the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. The data they collect are independent of my website and are subject to their respective privacy policies.

I use the Google Analytics service as well as Automattic’s Jet Pack tracking service. Cookies are also used to track reference and anonymous analytical information. That said, should you leave my website by any external link, be aware that these websites are not affiliated with me, and may collect personally identifiable information through their own website and services. The data collected at this point is subject to the policies of that individual website.

How long is your data retained
