For ye who’ve not yet seen this prominent campaign, I present the #βT20β¬ cricket’s most avid fan.
We shot for five days over two months, our schedule dictated by the schedule of the cricketers in the ad.
Our first location was a toilet in Port Elizabeth Gqeberha. It was one of the more insane logistics on a shoot.
Myself, the director and cinematographer literally flew from Johannesburg across the country to Gqeberha airport, drove straight to the St. Georges Cricket park, shot our scene in the public loo, followed by a quick lunch and flying back home. Nobody said the entertainment world wasn’t, well, exciting π
The remaining days were shot in Johannesburg and Cape Town, at cricket stadiums and other locations. These days were admittedly a bit more glamourous π
All in all, we raced through December and January, also working around my own travellings to South America and my High Rollers schedule, to get this 60 second ad completed in time. Well done to the Admit One team for their hard work and keeping their good humour through it all. It was so much fun working on this with Admit One Productions and DStv. And I’m sure that the fun shows π
