There’s a million and one books, cds, website, and any other media you can think of dedicated to deliberate creation. Almost all of them point to the fact that you need to think in a certain manner in order to achieve whatever you want. Reality isn’t as straight forward, as many people have come to realise.
So what’s missing? Why are all these gurus punting this information if it doesn’t work?
The simple truth is that it does work but just thinking on your desired outcome is only part of the equation.
Your conscious mind only handles a fraction of what we’re perceiving everyday. Your unconscious mind, on the other hand, is dealing with the majority. So while you’re possibly thinking about your desired outcome for ten to sixty minutes of a day, your unconscious is focussing on the opposite of your desire the rest of the time. Most people don’t consider this. Most people don’t realise that the opposite of your desire, the life you’re currently living is the prime focus of your mind.
What this means is that you’re working against yourself. What has been set as truth in your unconscious mind is overriding what you’re trying to create with your conscious mind. And you probably don’t even realise it.
So, how can you reset this? The unconscious will accept a new reality, a new program if that program is repeated with intensity. You do this when you pursue something that you are passionate about. Say, for example, that you love flying and want to be a pilot. You may not be a pilot now but your passion fuels your desire so that you’ll do what you can in order to become a pilot. Unless you have some deep seeded belief that contradicts this desire or you give up, your unconscious mind will accept this new reality quite readily. Also, you don’t wake up the next day as a pilot. You will go through months of training and flight time, continually and gradually affirming your new reality.
What most people do when they want to manifest something, however, is they don’t engage any passion (or other strong emotion) and, instead, live the same life that they’ve always lived (thus affirming the old reality) and expect their desires to show up. Then they continue to complain that this stuff doesn’t work. When it’s working hundred percent. You’re continuing to manifest exactly what you’re focusing on everyday.
Believe it or not, it gets even more in depth than that, and there are a few teachers, notably Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Stuart Wilde, and Ester and Jerry Hicks, who do focus on the full holistic nature of manifestation. It isn’t just a mind-power thing. You are more than just a head operating on its own. You, as an entire body, are responsible for what you create in your life.
For now, however, what are you focusing on for the majority of your day? What are you continually affirming to you unconscious self? And are you really moving yourself to your desire or just merely occasionally thinking about it?
The world is our playground, laden with opportunities to experience pretty much whatever we want to experience.
